Last week, we were requested by the Animal Protection Office of IPJ Galati to provide support for taking over a number of 15 cats from the apartment of some people from Galati with mental problems.
The experience was traumatic: owners torn from reality, indescribable smells and mess, unsterilized, malnourished animals, absolutely all suffering from serious ailments.
From our information, the situation is not recent, the animals’ suffering has been going on for years.
For cat tickets, even if we are at maximum capacity, we were able to intervene. As soon as we took them over, they benefited from the consultation of the Furry Friends – veterinary office and received the first medical treatment in their lives. They are full of parasites, they have viral diseases, some with irreversible complications.
But for the people, the serious involvement of the authorities is needed. The two represent a danger to their own persons, to those around them and to other possible animals that will fall on their hands.
We publicly request that a social investigation be carried out at the address where I live, a rigorous psychiatric examination be carried out and the horrors that take place in that home be stopped.
Please, at the same time, notify the Animal Protection Bureau of the IPJ of any such case that you know of and request, at the same time, as provided by the legislation in force, the creation of a space/center where such animals tortured by humans can be taken in and helped, cared for properly. We are at the end of our powers and the space does not allow us to accommodate any animals. We managed to find a foster space where they receive treatment and food and we hope that we will be able to bring them back to life, to a healthy life!
Please help us ensure a normal life for them, with adequate treatments and food.
