In 2004, I founded the Association Ajutati l pe Labus out of the desire to help dogs in the Ecosal public shelter. From 2008 to 2012 I had forbidden access, I was the only person in Galati who could not cross the threshold of the public shelter, because I saw things that bothered me and I tried to convince the authorities to change them. With the change of the mayor, in 2012 we had access again. Tears and overwhelming emotions made me look again for solutions to help nobody’s dogs. Thus we brought in time, several organizations that started to help with food, sterilizations, improvement of living conditions.
This involvement of mine has positioned me in a Facebook group where, with the help of a Labus volunteer who participates daily in the activities of the public shelter, I see the daily captures and dozens, hundreds of pictures of dogs waiting for their luck to be adopted. And so a picture appeared to me with a small box that housed two mothers with 3, respectively 6 puppies and another 6 white puppies without a mother, all sucking, eating bones.
Every day we are looking for ways to place the dogs already in the shelter (over 1000) because animosity is still being created and we have to prevent tragedies. Even though this problem of space occupies my mind and time permanently, I could not resist and said that I have to save them. Clearly, all 15 chickens could not survive.
Thus, in one day I saved 17 lives.
And now I urge you to do the same. At least save a life from the state shelters.
